  1. New York City Marathon, 12 November 2010 – New York, New York, so good they named it twice. The Big Apple is home to one of the world’s most prestigious marathons. Elite competition in the city that never sleeps, it doesn’t get any better than this.
  2. Berlin Marathon, 10 July 2010 – ‘Ich bin ein Berliner’ you might say at the end of this 26 mile run through the united Berlin. After the wall came down, the Berlin Marathon helped heal the wounds of division and forge a brighter future for Europe.
  3. Paris Marathon 11 April 2010 – Paris is one of the world’s most beautiful and historic cities. The Paris Marathon  is one of the oldest marathons in the world, and for some reason always seems to throw up surprises when it comes to the elite runners.
  4. Sidney Running Festival 19 September 2010 – Comprised of several running events, the Sidney running festival includes a half-marathon and a family fun run  as well as the Sidney Marathon itself. The route, which takes in such sights as the famous Sidney Opera House is one of the best in the running world.
  5. London Marathon 25 April 2010 – Last but by absolutely no mean least, the London Marathon is, in many ways, the jewel in the crown of the distance running world. With a route that goes past such historic landmarks as Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and the Houses of parliament there is a lot to see for competitors and spectators alike. The atmosphere of the London Marathon is like no other, it has to be experienced first-hand to be believed.
