Paris is my hometown. Often you don’t appreciate the place where you live, but I am fortunate in that I am able to see the city through other people’s eyes every day. That is the big advantage of working in tourism, that and because I have been doing it a long time I have got to find out about some great places.
The first place visitors who have taken flights to Paris see when they land is Charles De Gaulle airport. In the rush of travel it is easy to overlook airports but this one has a fascinating history. The Paris Metro is also world famous, and just so happens to be the very best way to get into the city from the airport. This underground train network is cheap, fast, and runs frequently. It is perfectly safe for tourists and visitors to use.
